Sports clubs
We are seeking the support of those who value sport to ensure future generations have the same opportunities. You can support a sports club directly or contribute to the Sports Club Support Fund, a funding resource distributed to clubs on a needs basis.
Cambridge Sport houses 49 clubs ranging from traditional sports such as cricket, rugby, hockey and athletics, to some newer clubs including gliding, korfball and canoeing. Clubs sustain themselves through membership subscriptions and some sponsorship, which are often insufficient to cover the increasing costs of running a successful, high achieving, competitive University sports club.
Stretched funding often means limited training, equipment and coaching, and difficulty accessing grounds and facilities for training and matches. For some students, even the subscription to be part of an established team will be too much.
We are seeking the support of those who value sport, and who will remember the positive difference sport had on their experience at Cambridge, to invest in our clubs and ensure future generations have the same opportunities.
You can choose to support an individual sports club directly or contribute to the Sports Club Support Fund, a funding resource all sports clubs can apply for through the University Sports Service on a needs basis.
