Berkshire - Church Stretton a long weekend away
Friday 10 July 2020, 12.00am BST to Monday 13 July 2020, 12.00am BST
The Berkshire Cambridge Society invites alumni for a long weekend away at Church Stretton.
The house is set on the slopes of The Long Mynd, a range of hills running along the famous Church Stretton Fault, and enjoys a spectacular view of Hope Bowdler Hill opposite. Originally a spa hotel, in 2012 it was taken over by HF Holidays, who specialise in walking and activity holidays and have won numerous awards.
Accommodation is good, catering excellent, they have a bar and there is even an outdoor swimming pool. Read this flyer and then make a decision, because the closing date is 8 February. Soon after that our reservation will have to be released.
Also, the sooner you book, the better the chance of getting the room you want. Church Stretton is a small market town in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – have you ever stayed there? From the house you can be walking in the hills in a couple of minutes. The town is also well situated for trips to Shrewsbury to the north and Ludlow to the south, both of which are connected by rail to the town. Ironbridge is 18 miles to the east.
