Cheshire - Visit to “The Danny” Daniel Adamson 1903 steamship
Saturday 21 May 2022, 2.00pm to 4.00pm BST
The Cambridge Society of Cheshire and North Wales invites you to join them for a visit to the Daniel Adamson steamship, followed by afternoon tea.
The Daniel Adamson is a small but powerful canal tug, built to tow long strings of barges laden with goods from the inland towns of Cheshire and the Potteries to Liverpool. She was built at Cammell Laird shipyard in 1903 and later became the Manchester Ship Canal’s opulent Art Deco hospitality vessel. She is believed to be the oldest operational Mersey-built ship anywhere in the world.
