Zoology Tropical Field Course Fund
Our tropical field course for undergraduates is only possible as a result of generous support from our alumni and friends. Your support ensures that students can attend the course, regardless of their financial situation.
The Department's first-ever tropical field course took place in 2018, in Panama, and was an enormous success, providing an inspirational experience for twenty Part II zoologists and five students from the local area.
Participants carry out their own week-long research projects in primary forest, giving them the chance to experience and study some of the extraordinary biodiversity of tropical rainforests first hand.
We have secured support for the next two years, but to secure the long-term future of this excellent course we need to build up more substantial resources.
